THE EDITION WAS SHOWCASED AS PART OF A NAIL SALON POP-UP, WHERE VISITORS COULD GET THE CUSTOM NAIL SETS AND NAIL ART DONE BY THREE OF CHICAGO’S TOP NAIL ARTISTS. BALLROOM MARFA’S WORKSHOP WAS TRANSFORMED INTO MAYORGA’S VISION FOR A CUSTOM SALON, COMPLETE WITH CUSTOM WALLPAPER, FLOORING, AND INTERIOR DESIGN. THE NAIL SALON OPENED ITS DOORS FOR THREE DAYS OVER THE COURSE OF CHINATI WEEKEND. I WORKED WITH YVETTE TO CREATE AN ARTIST LOGO AND BRAND IDENTITY FOR THE PROJECT, WHICH WE THEN APPLIED ACROSS PACKAGING, PRINT, AND DIGITAL ASSETS. THIS INCLUDED CREATING CUSTOM PACKAGING FOR THE MODEL CAR REPLICA, INSPIRED BY BARBIE’S GLAM AUTO!. IN ADDITION, WE CREATED CUSTOM TOTE BAGS, ARTIST STICKER PACKS, TISSUE PAPER MIRRORING YVETTE’S WALLPAPER DESIGN, PRINTED MATERIALS AND SIGNAGE DESIGN FOR THE SALON THAT WAS HAND PAINTED ON THE EXTERIOR WALLS OF BALLROOM MARFA. Drishay Menon and DJ Glenn Coco hail from two islands on opposite sides of the world- Indonesia and the Florida Keys - and formed Synchronized Swimming in Chicago, the birthplace of house music. The duo's music is a fusion of different cultures and styles - creating an experience that transcends borders and genres as well as fosters a growing community around the world.I currently run
